TERM06

TERM06 is a terminal used to receive and send text messages and commands using a serial transmission line. The serial transmission is a standard 8-bit ASCII transmission. The interface can be either RS232 or RS485. The terminal is controlled by the single-chip 89C51 processor. The processor's performance is controlled by the Watch dog circuit.

The terminal uses an alphanumeric LCD point display, with the option of additional programming of semi-graphical characters. The received characters are displayed immediately. The cursor's position is addressable. The terminal includes a 10-button membrane keyboard. A character is sent immediately after pressing the appropriate button. The terminal includes the repeat feature and an audio indication of a key depression. You can use the Setup to configure a number of features, either from the keyboard or remotely using a serial line. The parameters that allow modification include: transmission parameters, selection of the sent character set, cursor shape, transillumination of the display. The terminal also provides a number of control characters and ESC sequences.

The power is supplied from an external source of unregulated dc voltage. The power and communication lines are connected to the terminal connectors on the terminal board.

The terminal is designed to be built into the front panel of a technological device or equipment. The audio alert is led to the terminal connectors, electroacoustical converter is engineered outside the terminal and is not part of the terminal.
